Biotechnology is technology based on biology - biotechnology harnesses cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies and products that help improve our lives and the health of our planet. Biotechnology, an interdisciplinary branch of science, is the use of biological systems in the production of goods and services based on science and engineering principles without harming the environment and human health.
In the global process, Biotechnology R&D serves the industry in many areas such as agriculture, food, animal husbandry, renewable energy production, industrial enzyme production, health, medicine and pharmacy with the main classification of Agro-Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology. In this way, Biotechnology provides solutions to questions about the sustainability of ecosystems and contributes greatly to productivity growth with its use in different industries. The biotechnology sector has made great progress in recent years; Investments in R&D in this regard are also increasing rapidly.
In our Agricultural Biotechnology Department, theoretical and laboratory practical courses are given to our graduate students in the disciplines of Plant Biotechnology, Enzyme-Microbial Biotechnology and Animal Biotechnology.
